Currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Kulim–Bandar Baharu constituency in Kedah, Malaysia. He holds his seat as an Independent, having been elected as a member of the PERKASA

He got his early education in Ashby Road (English) Primary School, Ipoh. He continued his secondary education in Anderson School Ipoh & King Edward VII Taiping. He finished his pre University at Maktab Tentera Di Raja, Sungai Besi before he pursuing his tertiary education in New Zealand.He done his A-Level in Pakuranga College, Bucklands Beach, Auckland and achieved his law degree LLB in  Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He started his career as a lawyer since 1989 until today.

  1. Standing for election in PRU 2004 for Kuala Langat MP's but lost to BN-UMNO Candidates Datuk Dr Shafie Salleh.
  2. Standing for election in PRU 2008 (PKR Candidate) for  P18 Kulim-Bandar Bharu and won over BN-UMNO Candidate, Abdul Aziz Sheikh Fadzir with 5,583 majority.
  3. He got Fired from PKR by PKR Disciplinary Board on 6 March 2010 and become an independent  MP'S since then.
  4. Joining PERKASA in October 25 2011 and been elected as the new vice president of PERKASA replacing Datuk Mokhtar Samad.

One of ISA detainees in 1998 with Anwar Ibrahim. He was detained on 29 Sept 1998 and released a month later on 27 Oct 1998.
